FAQ

t

How much does a tow truck cost?

The cost of a tow truck can vary from job to job. This all depends on the type of vehicle you need to be towed and how far you need to go. Check with your insurance policy to see what’s covered under your towing insurance.

t

Do I have to pay upfront for a tow truck?

Yes. When we tow your vehicle or provide any of our roadside assistance services, the payment is due upon the time of service. You’ll need to pay for the service and submit the paid invoice to your car insurance company.

t

My car is all-wheel drive, can it be towed?

We can tow your all-wheel-drive vehicle no problem! These vehicles do require a different process than two-wheel-drive cars. Vehicles that are two-wheel drive can be towed by merely lifting the front or rear wheels off the ground. However, an all-wheel-drive vehicle will need all four wheels off the ground. This is because all of the wheels are connected to the drivetrain by the driveshaft. If we lifted it by only two wheels, it would cause severe damage to the drivetrain. We can tow your all-wheel-drive vehicle using our flatbed tow trucks.

t

Can you tow motorcycles?

Yes, we can tow all kinds of motorcycles. As these vehicles only have two wheels, they’re inherently more unstable than cars and trucks. As a result, extra care is needed to ensure that it’s transported safely. Typically, we’ll tow your motorcycle with a flatbed tow truck as it’s one of the safest and stable methods for towing a bike. We also offer motorcycle carrier towing, which can help prevent wobbling or excessive movement during the tow. Our last method for motorcycle towing is a tow dolly. With a tow dolly, we’ll lift the front tire of your motorcycle and secure it to the dolly while the rear wheel stays grounded.

t

Can towing my car with an automatic transmission damage it?

We take care when towing all vehicles, especially automatic transmissions. These cars need to be towed with care to avoid damaging the transmission system. If towing with a flatbed is not an option, we’ll need to keep the drive wheels of your automatic vehicle on the ground, and towing will have to be kept to short distances.

t
